The National Health Research and Innovation Unit (NHRIU) has officially disseminated the Eswatini Code for Health Research Conduct, a cornerstone document that upholds the principles of integrity, professionalism, and excellence in the national health research landscape. The Code outlines a set of principles and standards that ensure the responsible conduct of health research. It serves as a guiding framework for researchers across all levels and sectors, public and private, promoting ethical behaviour, accountability, and transparency throughout the research process. This document emphasizes the primary responsibility of researchers in safeguarding research integrity and maintaining the highest ethical standards in their work. All researchers were encouraged to adhere to the Code as a demonstration of their commitment to ethical research practices and to contribute to strengthening Eswatini’s reputation for credible, high-quality health research.
